A Precious Moment
Motherhood is an incredible privilege. Today has been special. Little Man and I spent the morning at home. The weather has been lovely and so we sat in the garden for a while. Little Man really melted my heart when he came up to me with a flower he'd picked from the garden. It's the first time he's ever picked a flower and given it to me. I'm pressing it in my current journal as a precious memory of the little boy who is swiftly growing into boyhood and leaving the toddler behind. He's turning 2 in 2 weeks' time, and I can't believe how fast he's growing up.
We went into town this afternoon to see a friend, J. I had also hoped to see my other friend, B, but I didn't see her. I did see her on Thursday morning when we were heading to the station, but I didn't want to wake her up. She's a rough sleeper.
We came home via the Isabel Trail. It was lovely. Little Man really enjoyed it and was quite the chatterbox. When we got home, we had some fun in the garden and just relaxed. It was lovely.
