Noisy spot

On the camping and caravan club site a few miles out of Oxford and it’s a bit noisy. We were warned about the trains but our pitch is right next to the facilities and lots of chatter coming from the washing up area.
It’s a nice site and this afternoon we walked down to the Thames path and along to Iffley lock. The village is stunning and what a fabulous church. Unfortunately the pub is not open until 5pm Thursday.
I have never come across a pound lock before today, according to the information board boats were dragged out of the water on the rollers and down back into the other side to get round the weir
