Historic Beauty
Found this historic beauty hiding down a corner of Archdale, NC, near the school where my grandmother teaches remedial reading. It's known as the Dougan Clark Johnson House ... built around 1880. The style of it imitates that of Colonial homes in the 18th century, with its tall pillars and shuttered windows.
I have really enjoyed taking pictures of these different historic homes in the area near where my grandma lives! Soon I'll be relegated back to the mundane photos of my home area ... but perhaps now I'll be inspired to see hidden gems with fresh eyes where I'd not seen them before.
