What is this for?

Can anyone guess what a plastic bag filled with water and hung up at a door entrance is for?
No? Neither could I.
I asked and discovered it is to stop flies from entering the place. Apparently flies see the bag of water as a wasp nest and stay well away.
It worked because I didn't see a fly inside all the time I was there.
Plan to try it out when I get home.
