Attended my first Extinction Rebellion (XR) meeting last night - Newark & Sherwood "cell"; with the upcoming bee demo in mind.

Held in the upstairs room of the small Quakers Meeting House in Newark, it's surrounded very closely by 3 large pubs, which amused me. The Weatherspoon's has just shut down, so currently just the two open pubs - all but empty as I left at 9pm. A sign of the times.

Three attendees cycled to the meeting on sturdy traditional bikes - very apt.
