I think it’s a hibiscus?

Seems awfully exotic and exciting for a terraced street in Bristol. I’m aware several neighbours have covid - and I have a few boxes of tests given to me a while back. So I offered them on the street WhatsApp - keeping one for myself. Delivering these took me to a few front doors and gardens I hadn’t been to before. Hence my delight at seeing this shrub.
Fareshare was fine this morning - the first time I’ve really been out since last Tuesday. Almost better.
In the afternoon I went over to east Bristol to see a friend who used to live opposite. I went for a chicken lesson - as I’m looking after her 3 hens on Sunday while she’s at a wedding. I didn’t get a blip of them, but I will. They are delightful, funny and clever. All rescued from intensive farming, they are living their best lives now. A bit like cats, the boldest one kept jumping onto my lap for a stroke. And when she was not being given attention, she got into the pot of a plant she’s not allowed to peck, to get us focused on her again. Three entirely different personalities. Looking forward to seeing them again. Big responsibility to keep them safe from foxy.
