The beach

Here’s the view from the promenade to the Forth on our early morning walk in Portobello. 

It was quite busy with parents and kids going to school, along with the wind swimmers and dog walkers on the beach, not that would know that by my blip.

Off tonight to the local Loretto school to see an amateur production of Tony Roper’s production of ‘The Steamie’, It is set on Hogmanay 1950 and provides a window on the lives and aspirations of a group of Glasgow women washing their clothes in a public washhouse (steamie).
