Silver Lantern

Functionalism took over the Finnish architectural scene like a storm in the 1930s. Even non-professional countryside builders  created their own versions of this school. This here restaurant ("Silver Lantern") was built in 1935 in downtown Hyvinkää. It was drawn by Georg Jägerroos (1901-56). I think it's a pretty fine piece of work.
