Early swim

I’m an early riser but not terrifically active first thing, usually starting the day with coffee and novel-reading. (Alice Zeniter, L’Art de Perdre at the moment. One of the best novels I’ve read in the last decade…)
But the hot hot days and the marvellous proximity of swimming pool finally penetrated my reserve and I was in the pool at 6:45am, scraps of pink cloud still in the sky. Very proud of myself, even if I was out of the pool by 7am.
