Sheep Dog Trial

Today the A66 beckoned.  At Threlkeld there were sheepdog trials.  Worth a look as I haven't seen trials for years.  This photo shows the set up on a field near the road.  The trials were lower down and behind me .(It is possible you will see my efforts.)  I chose this photo as it shows Blencathra (known locally as Saddleback) as the sun is out and the heather is on the slopes.
Afterwards I visited Acorn Bank, near Penrith.  Acorn Bank is a National Trust property.  It has been a while since I walked around: Jane used what was called a 'Tramper,' a robust mobility scooter.
