Allotment day today. We’ve been here for 2 summers and now have a double plot. When we first took it on we were complete newbies and the plot was chest high in weeds and rubbish. Today we feel like we’re beginning to get organised. This year the runner beans have been amazing, as have the tomatoes, strawberries, broad beans, gooseberries, blackcurrants, cucumbers & courgettes. Still to come - raspberries, sweetcorn and even more tomatoes & runner beans. It’s been a productive year! And the neighbours are great too.
