Inspired by hedgerow fruit.
As I was walking in the Lyth Valley this afternoon, the sun shone on this beautiful crop of sloe berries. It brought back happy memories when, some years ago, we found a bumper crop of sloe berries and gathered enough to make a bottle of sloe gin. It’s easy to make. Add sloes and sugar to a bottle of gin and shake regularly. It will be ready by Christmas to drink with friends.
I’ll be back with a container on the next fine day to gather what’s needed for the task.
