Caspian Tern with band or tag.

There were 2 of these on the beach today, one that was banded/tagged. Beautiful sunny day, especially nice after such a dull day yesterday.
The Other Half (PJ) had a cruise this afternoon, so took J along with him. After that we went over into the Pelorus Sound to visit our cousin. J hadn't been to her house that she & her husband had built 20 years ago. She has a great shade house, complete with an old fire in it to keep it warm during the winter nights. The banana palms/trees are just about touching the roof. Chilli, pepper & tomatoe plants all flourish. It is a little tropical paradise.
