Sparrowhawk

This morning I joined the ladies at our Wednesday church homegroup but this afternoon was quite a change from routine.

We went to collect #2 Daughter from work so after being offered a cup of coffee and cake at the Water of Leith Visitor Centre, we had a walk along the riverside footpath as she finished off her jobs. We were sure to find something to blip! Weren't we?

No otters. No kingfishers, No herons. Not even a duck. I resorted to photographing brambles! Suddenly a bird whooshed past us and landed ahead of us on a branch. 

Shoot! Drat! Change camera settings! Have another go.
