A super trip here with Sophia! She’s such good and easy company; a granddaughter to be proud of. We browsed the markets and beat our way through the crowds. She found a leather jacket in a stall for £18. Birthday present sorted. D also made a purchase.

Back to Finchley for more time with Matthew and Oliver. Great to watch their teamwork as O practiced erecting a tent ready for a trip to the Reading Festival tomorrow. GCSE results in the morning! Earlier they’d been working at the local food bank warehouse stacking deliveries from supermarkets.

A few games of badminton before heading for home, avoiding the rush hour. It still takes 2hrs though.

A great day arranged at very short notice and so good. We even saw Emma arriving home in her car as M was driving us to the station. She’d had to work today.
