DAY TWENTY SIX: Last few
I'm in the last few days of the trip now and I finally made it in to the Monash Health and Social Care Unit today, to meet some of the researchers working there and join a "shut up and work" session. This is the department who have hosted the exchange programme that has brought me to Melbourne so it was great to put faces to names and see the department. The concentrated working time also meant I got through the last few abstracts and finished this first step of the literature review (hooray).
As each small task like this is completed I stop briefly to celebrate and as I look up I see the whole project stretched ahead again and find that I'm keen to quickly move onto the next step to make it all feel more manageable again.
I celebrated by meeting up with a new friend from yesterday's hiking trip and going to a pop up gig in a brewery. We were rewarded with three great performances full of sincerity and humor, making for a really special evening.
I didn't take any good photos at either of these events so here's a moody wall I spotted on the way home.
