Morning Views

I got up early this morning to tackle week two of the decorating. Although it's pretty cold (13 degrees) at around 6am, it gets hot pretty quickly, and I knew I wanted my painting pretty much done by lunchtime. 

I managed to do the first coat on the wall I hadn't done yet, the door frame and the radiator wall, before running out of paint. I knew I'd need more. I had a really good go at the radiator, but I think you can see roll marks ....

I went to mum's, had a little nap as it was hot, went to get more paint before it closed, and then Lucy came to visit. We've missed her as she's been on holiday last week, and as she arrived I heard her from the street say "Alex! yes!" when she saw my car there ;-) She ran up the stair to give me a hug, and she was very happy to see us all. We did some colouring, among other things, making a pizza that fit into a box I'd received a package in. I was a bit hesitant to follow her directions, as quite often she's displeased when what's in her head doesn't quite match up on paper! With this in mind, she encouraged me "that's perfect Alex! " Phew! 

Therapy appointment in the evening, then home. It's nice having an evening.
