Parkgate
Today we were in Cheshire.
Left the M56 due to long tailbacks between M6 and Daresbury - up to 1 hour delay according to overhead display.
We tried alternative route using small roads selected by Google BUT of course lots of other people did that as well So we abandoned that and headed South to Delamere Forest for lunchtime.
Then on to Burton Mere Wetland RSPB reserve a lovely sunny afternoon with good birds and Dragonflies.
At 6 we went to one of those Villages By the Sea as seen on Ben Robinson’s TV series of the same name. Parkgate is a very special place but not quite by the sea these days just miles of salt marsh.
Plenty of Ice Cream
For the record a portion of admittedly 5* chips was £3.20 !!!
A real honey trap price or just what chips cost in Cheshire ?
