A social whirl of a day

What a most enjoyable and sociable day I have had. It started with a drive to Craignure with C to collect our organic veg orders off the ferry; except the ferry was delayed so it was a good excuse to stop off at the Wee Bespoke Bakery in Salen for breakfast. While delivering K’s veg order it would have been rude not to stop off for coffee and a chat. A brief stop at home to see Nick and take Bertie for a walk in the rain before meeting J (Blipper Wanderers13) for my next social event, an invitation to join a small group of ladies to celebrate an 80th birthday. The conversation was  very wide-ranging and enjoyable (as was the cake). We couldn’t believe how quickly the time passed and it was time to get home to prepare for our next social engagement. This was a double birthday celebratory meal at Ar Bord, our super local restaurant and the source of my blip for today - my started of beetroot and goats cheese with rye cracker and mint. Time to sleep now ……………
