Over-engineered
A busy day. Pick up dry cleaning. Visit surgery for first injection of new anti-osteoporosis treatment. Return rental car to Europcar at Dublin Airport. Get taxi to Raheny DART station. Take DART to Booterstown. Pick up car after garage repair. Lunch with Carl. Drive back home.
It's a while since I've been on the DART. There was a warning at Raheny station that the lifts weren't functioning at Booterstown. It was not a pleasant experience tackling the ridiculously over-engineered bridge which cross the line there (68 steps up and another 68 down), but a prominent advertising hoarding at the station told us the lifts being out of service was due to "The Big Life" upgrade, which we're promised "will mean big improvements for prople with mobility issues". We shall see. I stopped for a moment at the top for breath-catching and to catch a blip.
