Shopper

We had to get out of town. Or outta town. Trump was rolling in, we heard, and y’know he might have wanted to hook up if he heard a pair of fellow Scots were in town.
Actually there was another Scot at the hotel - from Ratho. He could have him. First up though, the SK had spotted a Tommy Bahama store just across town. Not far, then, in a city the size of Wales. And a tremendous place if that’s your bag - Avalon, an upmarket shopping centre. It was like something out of Black Mirror. A postal cart went past - it was a robot! I kid you not.
Lunch at Chattanooga - sitting out at a cafe on the bluff near the original Ross’s landing. Another fellow Scot, oh yes. No choo-choo to be seen, though there was a rather cool sculpture park.
So, north to Nashville. It’s also warm, very warm. Hillsboro Village on 21st Street. Near a university or two. We had burgers in an outlet rammed with students. Just like being back home.
