Crane's Bill
This little plant hoists it's beautiful delicate shades of pink flowers in the garden throughout the late spring, summer and autumn. What a delight seeing the small blooms bobbing in the wind today contrasting against the green foliage.
I like it as a brilliant plant for ground cover to smother weeds - incredibly vigorous forming a dense layer especially good for softening the edges, frothing over terracing and lawns. Can't believe how easy it is to transplant and multiply too. It has to be a winner in every way!
The name of the genus comes from the Greek geranos meaning 'crane' since it's seed pod looks remarkably like a beak of ...a crane! Hmm well possibly!
We appear to have a rabbit dilema - to go or not to go - that is the question! How did I guess this was going to happen!! Think I'll just go and shoot myself now..... :))
