Falconer (Live Exquisite), London
Maybe not my best image but I was fascinated by this falconer walking through Central London with his bird of prey, Jess the Hawk.
There is an inverse law of photography - the busier I get with work photography the more difficult I find it taking my own images. This week was a case in point, the more frantic the deadlines became the less time I felt I had to take my own shots. This was essentially a quick snapshot on the way up to my workplace after getting off the train. Strangely, though, I still rather like it!
This week I had a fellow photographer working with me in the basement so it was nice to be able to go and have a chinwag with him.
By late Friday I'd had no artworks delivered to me even though there was supposedly urgent stuff to shoot. I told him that this often happens only for pictures to suddenly appear very late in the day when there would not be enough time to get them all shot before the "end of play". I took an educated guess and told him they would turn up at about 4.10. Sure enough, almost exactly to the minute, they were brought down to me and this, of course, meant I couldn't finish shooting them before I left. This happens so often during the year that it now seems almost strange when it doesn't happen. It was a mad rush to get as much done as I could before I had to leave for my train home. All was alright with the world, though, when I got off my last train of the week and me and my brother headed to Eccles, the pub garden and a cold pint of beer!
Just realised this is a bit of a back blip. I took the image on Wednesday, mentioned my working Friday and wrote this today (Saturday)! I think my brain's a bit on the tired side hence the mix up.
