Little and large....

Another busy Thursday.
First job was to go next door and collect 52 lambs and head off to meet this lorry in a lay-by near Eddleston. There were another couple of farmers doing the same. This is to save a bit of time as the driver said he had 18 pick ups before he was full. They are headed to Wales.
Back home and wee brother and Kev had eventually managed to get the heifer in that was needing calved. Seemingly she was a wee bit reluctant to come in,but they got her calved and a live calf,so result.
Had to go and collect Littlemiss off a train at 10am,then headed off down the road with the baler. We buy straw in the swath from the contractor who does my combining. They have been cutting wheat and had 5 fields cut by tonight. I managed to get 3 of them done by the time the dampness came down around about 8.30 pm. 411 5x4' bales to be exact. Not bad going.
Back home by 9.30 pm ,and it's dark. Won't be long till Christmas at this rate!
