A different parkrun
We did a “new to us” parkrun this morning. Since Holyrood parkrun was holding its 53rd event, it’s hardly new - and it takes about the same amount of time for us to get there as it does to get to Cramond, so excuses for not having done it already are pretty lame. Anyway, the weather was fairly perfect with very little wind and no rain. The only problem was having to run round Arthur’s Seat! But what goes up has to come down and amazingly I managed to run round the whole course without having to resort to any walking and I felt pretty pleased with my time too. Somewhat different to the dead level course at Cramond, but the climb up and round Arthur’s Seat provided stunning views on all sides. No time for photos unfortunately, but I took a snap beforehand of St Margaret’s Loch looking to St Anthony’s Chapel which is near the start of the run.
