2023 Tuesday — Sailing Away
At approximately 8:30 the San Salvador sailed away this morning (with a close look, the ship can be seen in this photo). The tall ship has been in the Morro Bay harbor for approximately two weeks. We watched it sail into the port from here at the house (using binoculars of course) and this morning, even though the view is rather hazy, we can see the tall ship leaving. It was suppose to leave yesterday, but was delayed due to the “hurricane” that was traveling north out of Mexico.
If I had known the ship did not sail yesterday, I would have been standing at the edge of the harbor’s channel to watch it leave this morning. As ridiculous as this sounds, it was thrilling to watch it from here in the binoculars.
