Curtain Raiser

Not the most exciting shot for today's image I grant you but I just loved the way the light created all the shadows and patterns as these curtains billowed in a light breeze on our 'whirligig' washing line - perfect drying weather!
Today was really all about the World Cup Final as England took on Spain. I was sad that the Lionesses couldn't quite get it over the line this time but they deserve huge credit for the way they played and conducted themselves throughout the tournament, they did themselves and the country proud. My standout players were Alex Greenwood, Jess Carter, our very own Alessia Russo (we can claim her as she hails from our county town of Maidstone) and Mary Earps. They whole team and coaching staff gave everything and you cannot ask for anything more than that. Congratulations to Spain. It was a wonderfully enthralling World Cup too which I thoroughly enjoyed watching.
