Wet wet wet
On a day when we got the rain in spades it was at least nice to get this shot from TGR in America to give us a rainbow.
She took a hired minibus with a few other members of her trail family back down to California to complete a section of the PCT that they had skipped for safety reasons - flooding - in June.
So we got caught walking home in t shirts by a sudden downpour which must have dumped a months worth of rain on us in about fifteen minutes. It was cold and hard and actually hurt on contact.
Later I dyed TSM’s hair for her. Took about an hour and twenty minutes. It’s a jungle up there, but I enjoy doing it as it we get to talk without distraction. My wife is now raven haired for next weekend’s wedding.
In the evening we watched a harrowing and powerful play called Dixon and Daughters on National Theatre at Home. Rather like Parasite, the building itself as well as the six women trapped in its history of abuse is a character in its own right. A brilliantly constructed set takes you into every room in a house of evil. Sobering stuff.
Thank god for the odd rainbow.
