Saturday: Walnut Street Bridge
We had a little flurry of activity this morning when we had to head to Chattanooga Airport to swap out our hire car. In short, the car was very shuddery yesterday when braking at speed, with the steering wheel and wheels shaking quite a lot. That would indicate that the brake pads were worn so we now have a different car. We’ve gone from Florida plates to Massachusetts ones which feels way cooler.
After we dropped off the car at the hotel and got the shuttle into downtown, where we went to the Hunter Museum Of American Art which we throughly enjoyed. After that, lunch was in order - a half slab of smoky ribs totally did the trick.
We were disappointed with our first brewery experience tonight. Oddstory Brewing was ok, but there were way too many toddlers for our liking so we decamped to ‘Pax Breu Ruim’, a craft beer pub that was more to our taste.
Chattanooga has been experiencing some quite extreme heat these last few days.
