Jack and the Driptorch

RFS training day today.
In anticipation of a bad fire season (which they say every year), we checked all the vehicles and equipment.
Here is our new captain, Jack, assembling a new drip torch. It always amuses me how we have equipment for starting fires.
They will need it for planned hazard reduction burns on Thursday and Saturday.
After hanging out to go on one, I think I’ll need to pass this time. My eye surgeon might not be impressed so soon after doing my cataract :-(
