Tullich, St Nathalan's Kirk
On the way home from Ballater, our base for the Lonach games we called in at the ruinous St Ninan's Kirk. The church was built in around 1400 AD on the site of a much older monastic church founded by St Nathalan in the 600s AD.
The current church is notable by having a circular church-yard wall. This was a cunning device to prevent the Devil from hiding in the corners of a four sided wall!
