High Dam

An early trip to High Dam for a leg stretch.  The heather was really pretty and I was keen to include it in my blip.  A photo of the lower lake there in extras.

After a circuit here down the hill to Stott Park Bobbin Mill which we have driven past many times but not gone in.  A very interesting tour around the museum there.  

The guide told us that if we have any wooden cotton reels they were probably made somewhere in the Lake District.  I managed to find a very old wooden one in my sewing box - probably originally belonged to my Nana.
