Victim of the weather

This is a victim of the storms in the spring, there used to be a treehouse in its branches, it had been open and sagging 20 plus years ago when we first hung a swing from its branches. The dell it sits in is large and marks the place a building used to be in the victorian times, the last corner still stands. The trees mark the edges of the dell and are all elderberry bushes/trees. One year we made wine, another we had juice. The children and cats all learned to climb on this old tree its bowed branches perfect for small fingers and claws. But the last storm was one push too much, it came down and collapsed outwards like an over blown tulip. We have salvaged the tree house parts and now the discussion is what and where it will go back, but I think the old trunk is much more interesting.
