Happy 1st Birthday Rhona!

Where has the time gone? I can't believe she is one already. I was just getting home from the Maternity at this time last year, waiting for her Daddy to arrive home after some delayed and rerouted flights.

We have had a lovely day today with Great Grandmama. We had a lovely relaxed morning and Rhona (read Euan) opened her parcels and then they both played with them. A pink toddler pram and clothes from Granny and Granda, a pink Happyland shoehouse from Mummy and Daddy and money from Great Grandmama and the Greats.

We then went to meet Auntie Catriona and Auntie Diane for lunch and Rhona got more presents. Twin dollies ("there's one for Rhona and one for me Mummy!") named Kevin (now Henry!) and Rose by Euan. Also a Minnie backpack and a pretty wee dress. Lunch was lovely at the Atholl Hotel and although Diane had to rush back to work, the rest of us finished a rather leisurely lunch. Rhona ate loads of macaroni and made it clear when she wanted a chip of the plate - cue the point and grunt method of getting what you want (third try this time).

Home to play in the garden after a nap in the car. Euan was playing with his waterbombs and decided to bite one and was surprised when he ended up soaked! He ended up running round naked for a bit until we tidied up and came inside. Rhona was on the swing again after another point and grunt. She doesn't say anything yet, but boy can she make herself understood!!

Omellette for their tea which Rhona devoured as usual and then another play with her birthday toys. She adores her new dolls and carried Rose about giving her cuddles. She is up to bed with her tonight, and a toothbrush that she would not relinquish to me!

Lots more fun planned for the weekend.
