‘Brother and Sister’

The grandchildren were with us yesterday evening, overnight and this morning. My grandson wanted to do Junior parkrun (2k round Inverleith Park) this morning. 

My granddaughter wasn't sure about chasing another personal best and decided - very much in the spirit of parkrun that as ‘parkrun is a run, not a race’ - she would run round gently with him. 

Having both got used to doing the full 5k parkrun a couple of times recently, her comment after the 2k run was, ‘That wasn't very far, was it?’ But I loved how they looked after each other during the run.

Breakfast at a local cafe was a great way to finish a relaxed morning, too!
