Ugly duckling?

So sweet that the mother goose had her babies huddling under her wing for a protective rest. But this brood had an odd one. There were 4 all yellow and little and then a great big grey one. Hard to know what the story is. A previous brood? A chick that hatched earlier than the rest? The goose equivalent of a cuckoo?
