Going swimmingly

Headed north this morning with VP & her husband for a day out in Glenmore.

We stopped at Killiekrankie to view an exhibition of work by local artists before making our way to Loch Morlich.  

First stop was cafe for a very tasty and filling lunch of Croque Monsieur with carrot soup. We then headed down to the beach to meet AR who is swimming her way around Scotland as a precursor of a wider event to promote swimming and raise awareness of the social enterprise she is involved in which trains swimming teachers in developing countries. It was really interesting chatting to her. 

The swim was lovely - the water was warmer or rather less cold than Loch Faskally and it was lovely to be out in a wide stretch of water looking at the surrounding hills. 

We had a walk in woods before heading back down the A9. Traffic wasn't too bad given Thunder in the Glen's had been on and the Horse Trails at Blair Atholl (although it was beginning to build up on A9 as we came off it).
