Robin on the doormat

It was very badly injured and sadly died a little later, as it had flown into the glass kitchen door. I have a bird of prey in silhouette on the door, to deter this sort of thing but it didn’t work this time.
We went into the village as it was our fete day, the children went to the swing park, and then it was home for lunch, swimming etc
The wind was quite strong and chilly today. It got the washing dry quickly, but wasn’t pleasant getting out of the pool!
