A bit of Blipfoto history from the good old original grey* days of the website. Bought two of the badges, but managed to catch and break the first one within 24 hours of fitting it to my rucksack. Unsure and more wary about where the second would be fitted, it was put aside for a while... and disappeared for years, until today. Was looking for something else when it turned up, as is the norm.

* - grey days, for those not in the know, the website's main colour was grey rather than white, and many consider that it better shows the photos than the glare of a white background. Text was white, or near white, on the grey background, and there were various customisations available to your journal to show or hide information that could make a journal clear of some of the clutter of calendar, camera/lens information, and more, so that it was just about the photograph. I turned off the ability of viewers to give stars (from 1 to 5 of them back then) to my Blips, which aided keeping a low profile by avoiding the popular pages, or whatever they were called back then. Forums, of which there were many, were very active, with much advice, help, fun, craic, and... many arguments! Those were the days.
