Spot the pigeon

A wood pigeon Coo-cooo-coos loudly each morning outside my window.  I knew he must have his resting spot somewhere close and as I headed out down the drive I looked up through the tree leaves and spotted him looking very cosy in his nest way up high.

I didn’t want to disturb him so only managed a quick snap before I left him in peace.

The disappointment of the day was heading out for lunch to be greeted by a notice saying that roasts were off the menu because of supply issues!  I had a steak salad instead which was nice but not the lovely Sunday roast I was looking forward to.
