Woburn Walk
We walked round a 'treasure trail' of clues in the Bloomsbury area of London today, a gift 'experience' from one of our children (we have taken so long to use it that we can't actually remember who gave it to us). It was fun to look for answers to clues about the history of the area, which has had many famous residents. Woburn Walk, shown here, is one of the first streets to be designed as a pedestrianised shopping street in 1822. It has historic plaques to the poet Yeats, writer Dorothy Richardson and secular campaigner George Holyoake, all of whom lived there at various times.
