New River Path
The "New River" is neither new, nor a river. It's a shallow aqueduct built in 1613 to supply fresh drinking water to London.
Today's walk was meant to be an easy alternative to another more demanding one we've been doing. Bad decision; it turned out much harder because large stretches of the path were fence off for building works, forcing us to take big detours.
