I hate scanning film

It's just a laborious, awful process which involves all the pain of making prints in the darkroom (dust!) with none of its joys, combined with spending yet more time in front of a computer which I really don't need to do.

But then you get something like this, and perhaps, just perhaps, it's worth it after all.
