A Full English
Well, they are actually one eighth American, but I'm talking about the breakfast we had for lunch in Lichfield Minster café, absolutely delicious, and just right for a cold rainy day. Dessert was waffles on a stick from one of the vans at the fair, sickly sweet, but pronounced great by Zion, Mr Sweet Tooth.
Dinner's ready, will write more later... Later... dinner was great, thanks, Sam!
Here again, with two extras - the kids at the temporary beach in front of the Minster, which they weren't impressed with, basically a large sandpit, but plenty of smaller kids were having a great time building sandcastles and so on. They were impressed with the Minster (which impressed me).
And another at St Chad's Well, the beginning or end of the Two Saints Way, an ancient pilgimage route. They also had a great time on the zip wire at Stowe Pool, which we walked around.
Gratefuls:
- a really good day, after a really bad night, and an emotional start
- excellent train service (none of us have a car atm)
- Julia being a bit better after being quite ill this morning
