Taken as we gathered speed after yet another of the innumerable sections of slow traffic on the M6, a five hour journey that took seven and three quarter hours.
However we had seen no accidents, only one episode of rude gestures, the delay was all due to road works and Bank Holiday traffic and we arrived safely at our self-catering accommodation weary but in good spirits.

They turned to dismay at discovering dirty cutlery in the dishwasher, smeary plates and a paucity of coathangers but hopefully the bed will be comfortable when I fall into it, just as soon as University Challenge finishes.
