Peony

The day was chilly, cold in fact, until I was leaving the office at 4. Much later than yesterday.

Neil and I were out HAS in Haymarket in the morning and then an afternoon doing bits and pieces and tidying up loose ends, like 2 jds for my new posta

#3 son is still out on Penicuik. A black kitten is proving an attraction. I raked up moss and cut the grass. Plenty bare patches after the moss treatment. Then I started tidying up the edges with the tools I bought yesterday. A hand and knees job. And finally I pruned/hacked back the bridal spray. Another pile of branches to dispose of but it has more room to grow from the base now. A few peonies are out. They don't last but they are lovely while they do.

Back inside a struggle with the futon followed. Now for food and maybe a small glass.
