‘Evening’

Detail from the hood of one of the new set of copes (ecclesiastical cloaks) made for St Paul’s Cathedral Dundee, which were worn for evensong tonight. The skilled members of the Derby Cathedral Embroidery Workshop have made 6 beautiful copes with each of the hood embroidery’s representing a different mood or season of the river Tay, this being a detail from ‘Evening’.
