Seaside swims

We decided that a seaside trip was required today as the weather was best on the coast.
We went to Filey. The last time we were there it was high tide … we had no idea just how huge the beach was at low tide! Nor how lovely. Long, wide sand. We walked for about 30mins or so to where it became quieter (not that it ever felt crowded) and before the next ‘influx’ of seasiders (presumably coming from another access point).
Scout wasn’t keen on coming in too deep with me so we just played on the edge. She did swim a little. When Cathie came back in she took Scout and I went out for a swim. It was so lovely … and warm!
After that we headed back along to the slipway where we could get a coffee and fresh donuts. :) We sat and watched some sea cadets come in and other people come and go.
We then went down to Flamborough Head for fish n chips. We wandered down to the cove when we had finished and realised that we would need to swim there too because it was just too lovely.
Again Scout wouldn’t come out so we played at the edge and I went in for a swim when Cathie came back. It was quite a bit colder but still lovely to be in.
Ahhh! A good holiday! :)
