It ain't fall yet

A brilliant orange sun greeted me on the way out this morning, proof that there's still a lot of smoke in the air. Thankfully, reports are that many of the fires are now under control.
A pang shot through me though when I first spotted this leaf. "Oh no, it's much to early to start this sh1te!" I thought.
"Ah, there's basically been no rain" flashed into my mind. 
"That must be it", followed by a somewhat comforted feeling.


Ah well...
