I feel a playlist coming on

It’s what they call alt country and americana.  I am more attracted by music from north america than  from the land of the bashed turnip. Runrig and Jimmy Shand have largely passed me by. The Proclaimers are hugely american influenced anyway. I also think that blues music and country music are more similar than they are different. My playlist will mainly be early noughties selections with the odd exception. It’s important do do these things. Here is Barstow by Jay Farrar. (I once drove through or past Barstow in a white Cadillac.)
